Three masters of improvisation, Jordi Gaspar on bass guitar, Santi de la Rubia on tenor saxophone, and Oriol Roca on drums, present at the Jamboree the project ‘Reinici’ (Restart), a series of pieces composed by Gaspar envisioning the trio formation. The ingredients of these compositions are improvisation, the beautiful sound of each instrumentalist, and the different textures they generate when they come together. Each piece arises from a specific argument, transformed into a musical idea. A good example is found in ‘Reinici’ (Restart), a turning point when closing things and making room for new beginnings; or in ‘Bifurcacions’ (Forks), when it’s necessary to decide between two options. Altogether, the result of this encounter represents an emotional journey, with music as the guiding thread.
