Joan Chamorro continues to present musicians formed in the Sant Andreu Jazz Band (SAJB), a project with a 17-year history. The recordings form part of the collection ‘Joan Chamorro presenta…’, which got off the ground in 2009 with Andrea Motis and includes names like Rita Payés, Èlia Bastida, Joan Mar Sauqué, Joan Martí and Marc Martín. Koldo Munné’s will be volume number 19. Koldo Munné has been part of Joan Chamorro’s project since he was eight. Since then, he has recorded 28 albums with the Sant Andreu orchestra. His language is inspired by musicians including Lou Donaldson, Charlie Parker and Art Pepper. And his role as a vocalist, both when performing standards and composing, should also be mentioned. At the Jamboree, Munné and Chamorro, in a sextet line-up selected from the SAJB, will record a live album with a very special collaborator: Scott Hamilton, one of the biggest names in jazz history. With the American musician, they will perform a repertoire specially prepared for this event.
