The quintet led by vocalist Emma Nagy was formed in Budapest in 2018 to take part in a local jazz competition. They won it and also got two awards for best soloist. That same year, they recorded their first EP and began a spectacular career that has led them along the Hungarian jazz route to take part in festivals such as Bratislava, Getxo and Sziget (Budapest). They have also received several awards at the Mupa Jazz Showcase (Budapest) and the Jazz Juniors international competition (Krakow). With a contemporary and original style, Nagy Emma Quintet is one of the most promising young groups on the European scene.
