The Martí Mitjavila Trio has performed at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival 2022, the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, Bimhuis Amsterdam, the Alhambra Festival Jazz Vic, among others. They have won first prize at the Grachtenfestival Jazz Competition 2022 and the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours 2019. Martí received the Best Soloist award at the Keep an Eye International Jazz Competition 2022.

Martí Mitjavila (clarinet and bass clarinet), Simon Osuna (double bass), and David Puime (drums) together explore lesser-known material from the American Songbook and Martí’s own compositions. Rooted in jazz tradition but looking forward, this unusual formation aims to reclaim the clarinet as a solo instrument in bebop and hard bop styles, explore the American tradition repertoire with a contemporary approach, and present new ideas with their original compositions.
