The Sparkles is a Barcelona band that has been wasting sympathy and good work since 2009. Led by three female voices, it stands out for being a solid formation with an impeccable sound; a fun and original band; one of the best of the retro-American scene in our country. Their style evokes that of the female groups and soloists of the fifties and sixties in the US: The Crystals, The Ronettes, Lesley Gore, The Marvelettes, Martha & The Vandellas and many more. The repertoire is an exquisite selection of hits and rarities from that era, spanning genres such as doo wop, r&b, frat rock, surf and early soul. All in all, the staging and unstoppable energy that they transmit live from minute zero stands out. In their prolific career, they have played at national and international music festivals in the fifties and sixties.
