David Pastor trumpet · Vicenç Solsona guitar · Vivi Sugar baby bass · Oriol Martínez percussion.

This original quartet, nine from trinca, is made up of four consecrated talents of jazz and Latin music. Congas, trumpet, double bass and guitar come together to find the essence, the nature of Latin-jazz, a genre that brings us to many places and very diverse sounds – from African rhythms to Cuban sound – and which, in the words of Latin 4 Fun, “a set of music that meets with a tender and deep embrace.” With that, they continue, “getting to know Latin jazz and falling in love are the same.” Latin-jazz, moreover, is a music in constant evolution, with geniuses who have magnified this genre: from Bebo Valdés to Dizzy Gillespie, through Michel Camilo, Eliane Elías, Paquito D’Rivera, Mongo Santamaría and others. “Listening to this quartet live is a harmonious journey to Ithaca: you never reach the end of this music that always leaves some mystery to be discovered,” say the musicians of this band with a repertoire of jazz standards passed through the sieve of Latin rhythms, popular classics of Latin and Afro-Cuban music and own compositions. Among top songs, they play ‘Mambo influenciado’, by Chucho Valdés, and ‘Cantaloup Island’, by Herbie Hancock.
