La punta de l’Iceberg (Albert Moraleda, 2019) is the title of the first album by the pianist and composer Lucas Delgado. In the company of double bass player Juan Pastor, Delgado presents a repertoire of 12 of his own songs based on the language of jazz but with the added touches provided by the artist’s personal taste and the inevitably vibrant, bold, close cooperation typical of the duo format. To record this debut album, Delgado and Pastor have had the collaboration of Darío Barroso on classical guitar and the voices of Selma Bruna and Sílvia Pérez Cruz – three artists who enrich the duo’s music with their generous talent. Delgado and Pastor offer an original approach, with influences from jazz, classical music, folk, rock and singer-songwriter music.
