Solomon Hicks guitar, vocals · Kirk Yano bass · Chuchi Crespo drums
Considered a guitar phenomenon, New Yorker Solomon Hicks began his career at a young age and immersed himself in the Harlem music scene, where he grew up surrounded by great performers. “They taught me not to be the fastest guitarist,” he says about his mentors, and adds: “I wanted to know all the riffs and learn a lot so I could play any style and with everyone.” Indeed, in 2021 he won the award for Best Emerging Artist at the Blues Music Awards for the album ‘Harlem’ (2020), produced by Kirk Yano, a multiple Grammy winner and producer for Miles Davis, Public Enemy, and Mariah Carey. In his meteoric career, he has achieved various accolades, topped the charts, and shared the stage with figures as prominent as Buddy Guy, Samantha Fish, Tony Bennett, Jeff Beck, Ringo Starr, Jimmie Vaughn, Mavis Staples, Robert Cray, and others. Solomon Hicks is undoubtedly a blues star.
