Mar Vilaseca vocals · Tony Glausi trumpet, vocals · Jaume Vilaseca piano · Russell Hall doublebass · Andreu Pitarch drums
Born in Barcelona in 1998, Mar Vilaseca is one of the most prominent voices of the new generation of singers. A brilliant student, she trained at ESMUC and the Juilliard School in New York. Currently living in the United States, Vilaseca is building a flourishing career. As a sideman, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Emmet Cohen — featured in the famous series Live From Emmet’s House — trumpet players and vocalists Tony Glausi and Benny Benack III, bassist Russell Hall, and Spanish musicians Ignasi Terraza, Mario Rossy, Geni Barry, and her father, pianist Jaume Vilaseca, among others. As a solo artist, she has released albums such as Find the Way (2019). At Mas i Mas’25, she will perform alongside Tony Glausi, Russell Hall, Jaume Vilaseca, and drummer Andreu Pitarch, another young talent of Catalan jazz. The concert will feature a unique repertoire blending jazz, boleros, and Latin music, including selections from Bebop & Boleros, a performance she and Glausi previously presented at the Birdland Jazz Club in New York.
