Sergi Sirvent is a multifaceted creator who moves between jazz, contemporary music, chamber sounds, and free improvisation. With a classical background and jazz studies in both Barcelona and New York, he defines himself as a sound channeler and musical inventor.

His art is built on authenticity, expressive freedom, and sonic exploration. Smooth Trio is one of his projects, a classic trio format with two albums released (Beige and Magic), where the pianist’s original compositions are explored through a jazzy lens, evoking old standards while maintaining his unique artistic signature.

In 2025, Sirvent invites us to discover some standards he has reharmonized and reimagined, creating special and elegant atmospheres. Popular compositions like Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Like Someone in Love are transformed, blending formal elegance with modern, personal colors.

This repertoire will be released in a double album this fall on Selffish Records under the title Standards & Other Things,
