Fran Ramos – A saxophonist with a distinctive voice in jazz and fusion
Fran Ramos is a Valencian saxophonist who has built a solid and versatile career, collaborating with artists across a wide range of genres, from contemporary jazz to flamenco and rock fusion. His personal sound and musical adaptability have led him to perform with names such as Marc Miralta, Carlos Sarduy & Groove Messengers, Giulia Valle Ensemble, and the Liceu Jazz Grup under the direction of Perico Sambeat.
He has recorded with Bru Ferri’s trio in a project featuring guest appearances like Silvia Pérez Cruz, and opened the Vitoria-Gasteiz Jazz Festival, sharing the bill with artists like Eliane Elias, Robert Glasper, and Marc Johnson.
In parallel, he has worked with flamenco and fusion artists such as Juanito Makandé, El Canijo de Jerez, Muerdo, and trumpeter Enriquito Rodríguez as part of the fusion group LaTtribu29, and has often collaborated live and in studio with Javi Chispes, guitarist of the band Reincidentes.
He is also the founder of Mil Estones de Jazz, a personal festival that has brought together renowned national and international artists like vocalist Sara Dowling and saxophonist Ramón Cardo.
