Sebastián Chames piano, Justin Robinson alto sax, Antonio Miguel doublebass and, Willie Jones III drums.
The Spanish-Argentine pianist Sebastián Chames arrives at the Jamboree with a class group. A disciple in New York of Fred Hersch, Bruce Barth, Hal Galper, George Colligan and, above all, Rodney Kendrick, who instructed him in the piano-jazz tradition, Sebastián Chames is today a relevant artist on the Madrid scene. Standing on both sides of the pond, Chames has recorded his solo discography with figures from the New York scene, such as Jeremy Pelt, Curtis Lundy, Greg Tardy and the musicians who accompany him on this session. This is the case of Justin Robinson, known for his collaboration with Roy Hargrove, and, above all, of the legendary drummer William Jones III, follower of the style of Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey and Billy Higgins, and sideman of Horace Silver, Hank Jones, Hebie Hancock and Cedar Walton, among others. Top-notch jazz in the Plaza Reial cellar.
