Bruce Barth has been one of the most sought-after jazz pianists ever since he began his career at the end of the eighties as sideman for Stanley Turrentine and Terence Blanchard, with whom he recorded the soundtrack of Spike Lee’s film Malcolm X. As well as a long career working for figures like Tony Bennett, Phil Woods, Freddie Hubbard, the Marsalis brothers and Steve Wilson, Barth has had a long solo career working with top-class musicians. His music, rooted in the jazz tradition, reflects the depth and breadth of his musical experience. Barth, who is already known to the Jamboree audience, returns to his favourite club on this side of the Atlantic to share with the audience his taste for his home city, New York, bringing with him a set of pieces written or arranged for different formats.
