RONALD BAKER QUINTET - Jamboree Jazz

RONALD BAKER QUINTET

Ronald Baker, one of the great trumpeters of recent generations of American musicians in diaspora, returns to the Plaça Reial club. Born in Baltimore in 1968, Baker lives in Paris. From the Old Continent, he has achieved the status of worthy successor to the best trumpeters and singers. With six solo albums released, his style has been compared to Chet Baker, Roy Eldridge and Miles Davis. As a singer, his voice recalls the velvety, rhythmic style of Al Jarreau and George Benson. Apart from his solo career, Baker has worked for Big Joe Turner, Ricky Ford, Jesse Davis and Ignasi Terraza, among others. He has performed at the Jamboree several times. This time he will go on stage in quintet format, with a group including the great and the good from our jazz scene.
