Billie Holiday is undoubtedly a leading figure in vocal jazz – and music in general – who became known for her hard-hitting personal style. The young singer Sandra Artigas, a new talent on our jazz scene linked to the Taller de Músics, presents us with a concert where she recreates the essence of this iconic singer. She does so from various perspectives, experimenting with musical freedom and with the encounter between the avantgarde and tradition. Artigas offers us a journey through the world of Lady Day via the textures and colours of her own creative world and the always palpable influence of Billie Holiday herself.
