Koan Quartet is a contemporary jazz group with an elastic, versatile and very personal sound. Its style is a unique blend of the jazz tradition and avantgarde music. Each concert is unique and unpredictable. Under the leadership of double bassist Manuel Krapovickas, the Koan Quartet brings together some of the most creative musicians on the Barcelona scene. At the Jamboree they will present the recital The Music of Carla Bley with a selection of pieces by the famous American pianist and composer and the no less iconic bassist Steve Swallow.
