In the year of the Jamboree’s 60th anniversary, there had to be a performance by one of the most important groups in the history of the club. Between 1993 and the beginning of the first decade of the 2000s, the Txell Sust & August Tharrats Trio delighted fans of blues and, in general, live music in Barcelona with their periodic performances at the sadly missed La Boîte club, as well as the Jamboree. They also performed their fresh, vital jazz-blues-swing at venues and festivals all over Spain and part of Europe. In 2017, almost 25 years after their official “farewell” (although in fact they never stopped playing together) Sust and Tharrats returned to the stage in a big way with the album Jazz Nature (Temps Record). This is where they will draw their repertoire for this one-off performance at the club that made them a legend.
