Their repertoire revisits genres that have given voice to stories of love and heartbreak over the decades: bolero\, rumba\, cha-cha-cha\, swing\, rancheras and cuplés\, brought to present-day Barcelona with a direct and honest style. \nIn 2023 they released their first LP\, Alma Podrida\, warmly received by critics and featured on Radio 3 (RNE)\, launching a tour across the local and national circuit and filling intimate venues. \nIn 2025 they present their second project\, Apuntes para una luna de miel\, a 10’’ vinyl EP presented in Mexico.

The duo has made a name for itself through a precise balance: immediate melodies that never need to force their way to the forefront. \nFollowing Opening Soon\, their debut album released in 2023 and built around a very distinct pop sound\, Tonique & Man return with Where We’re At\, their second album\, recorded in part at Studio Ferber in Paris. The groove and the sense of songwriting remain intact\, but the perspective shifts: the album refocuses on the essentials—two musicians and more authentic songs—with a desire to present a more nuanced take on pop. \nThe production gains warmth and depth\, with airier arrangements and vocals brought more to the forefront. The album retains the duo’s DNA—that blend of soft disco\, modern pop\, and French elegance—while taking it toward something more mature and self-assured. \nThis maturity is evident in both the songwriting and the performance. The tracks retain their impact and lightness\, yet reveal more intimate moments\, as if the duo were willing to let something more personal shine through.
