SUMMARY:Ben Sidran
DESCRIPTION:Ben Sidran piano & vocals · Leo Sidran drums & vocals · Tom Warburton double bass · Bill McHenry saxo \nPianist\, organist\, singer\, composer\, lyricist\, former touring companion of Steve Miller and collaborator with artists such as Eric Clapton\, Charlie Watts and the Rolling Stones; a living legend of popular music of our time. His name: Ben Sidran\, a musician who has worked across jazz\, blues and rock\, both as a session musician and as a record producer for Van Morrison\, Georgie Fame and Ricky Lee Jones\, among others. \nAs a solo artist\, he has also enjoyed a brilliant career\, with more than 50 years of experience and 35 albums that have left their mark on several generations of music lovers. \nSidran first performed at Jamboree in 1999\, more than 25 years ago; a quarter of a century of returning to the basement of Plaça Reial and giving audiences memorable nights. \n“There are artists whose existence already justifies a deep learning of Shakespeare’s language: Dylan\, of course\, with the Nobel Prize behind him\, but also Ray Davies\, Stuart Murdoch\, Donald Fagen\, Joni Mitchell\, Morrissey and many others. This list should also include\, without a doubt\, the pianist\, singer\, composer\, producer\, writer and music critic Ben Sidran\, an admirable and surprising man.” \nWords by journalist Fernando Neira in the highly recommended series Un disco al día\, which we wholeheartedly endorse from beginning to end.

SUMMARY:Fabian Willmann Trio feat. Jeff Ballard
DESCRIPTION:Fabian Willmann tenor sax · Arne Huber bass · Jeff Ballard drums \nThe Fabian Willmann Trio is presented featuring star drummer Jeff Ballard (known for his collaborations with Brad Mehldau\, Chick Corea\, Ray Charles\, and many more) and bassist Arne Huber. \nThe Fabian Willmann Trio is “a relaxed celebration of the beauty of melody” (thatjazz). It strips the music down to its essentials\, yet with something to say in every breath\, free of chatter\, redundancy\, or showmanship. \n“All About Jazz” compares their “spaciously presented pieces” to the groundbreaking trio work of Sonny Rollins in the 1950s and Ornette Coleman in the 1960s\, and describes their debut album “Balance” as “one of the most unassuming albums of 2022\, which may well end up being one of the best of the year.” \nTheir second album “Freedom” (2024)\, featuring Sissel Vera Pettersen and Lionel Loueke\, has been described as “hymnic\, not hectic” and “almost provocatively emotional”\, “where every nuance\, every saxophone sound\, every drum hit\, and every vibration of a string takes on weight and meaning” (Jazz’n’More). \nIn 2025\, the trio presented this music in eighteen concerts across Germany\, Luxembourg\, England\, and Switzerland.

SUMMARY:Yumi Ito
DESCRIPTION:Yumi Ito vocals\, piano & composition · Alessio Cazzetta electric guitar · Nadav Erlich double bass · Iago Fernandez drums \nThe Swiss-Polish-Japanese vocalist\, pianist\, and composer creates complex soundscapes through piano and vocal improvisation\, spanning from pop to avant-garde. — Tim Dickeson\, Jazzwise Magazine \nA laureate of the Montreux Jazz Competition\, Yumi Ito is recognized by critics as one of the most exciting discoveries in contemporary jazz vocals. Her sixth album\, Lonely Island (enja\, 2025)\, earned her the Artist of the Year award from Bluebird Reviews (UK/US) and reveals the most intimate side of her artistry: personal stories\, powerful improvisations\, and a unique voice — like an island in the middle of the ocean between jazz\, art-pop\, and neoclassicism. \nThe award-winning artist performs solo or with her band\, featuring guitarist Alessio Cazzetta\, bassist Nadav Erlich\, and drummer Iago Fernández.
