5 O’Clock Jazz Band is a traditional jazz musical project that places the audience in a realm where jazz improvisation, humor, nostalgia, and musical revelry continuously surprise. Their repertoire is a selection of New Orleans jazz classics such as When the Saints Go Marching In, Down by the Riverside, Basin Street Blues, When You’re Smiling, St. James Infirmary, The Sheik of Araby, and many other songs, some of them translated into Catalan, sometimes with a free translation that showcases the group’s characteristic personality and humor, and where audience participation and complicity are fundamental parts of the show.
