The Malaga composer and performer José Carra is one of the most important, creative pianists of the new generations of Spanish jazz. His music, with strong classical and jazz influences, points to many other styles, such as rock, pop, electronica and popular music. Poetry also plays a fundamental role in his creations, building an entirely personal, recognisable world with which he has put out various albums praised by critics and fans. Apart from his projects as leader, Carra has also worked with names of the calibre of Sheila Jordan, Eric Alexander, Chris Cheek, Stanley Jordan, Perico Sambeat, Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Javier Colina, Robera Gambarini and Miguel Poveda. One of the great names in new European jazz comes to the Plaça Reial club.
