“Aires de Candombe” is a project founded by percussionist Fernando Ramírez Abella, blending jazz with the rhythmic drive of the Afro-Uruguayan candombe rhythm. Based in Barcelona, the band has successfully crafted a unique sound that combines jazz improvisation and harmonic complexity with the percussion and groove of candombe. Aires de Candombe has received a positive reception in the musical scene of Barcelona and other parts of Europe.
