With its unconventional instrumentation, the trio Akagera offers a unique and captivating sonic universe where genres intertwine, presenting a world-embracing jazz with entirely new orchestrations.

Composed from improvisation sessions, their new album “Traverse” reflects the diverse origins and influences of the three musicians: classical and contemporary music for Benoit, the blend of South America and the Caribbean for Stéphane, African rhythms and Brazilian grooves for David, while reaffirming their shared passion for jazz.
