Albert Bover & David Xirgu Duo – Jazz dialogue through trust and freedom
This duo was born from the deep friendship and musical bond between two outstanding jazzmen: pianist Albert Bover and drummer David Xirgu, who come together in a less common format than the traditional trio or quartet.
The absence of a bass allows greater harmonic freedom for the pianist —especially his left hand— and gives the drummer a broader dynamic range without the need to restrain volume to hear the bass clearly.
They will perform original compositions, jazz standards, and specially arranged Latin pieces. An intimate and expressive performance, full of nuance and synergy between two veteran artists.
