The Canary Island bass player Emilio Martín, one of the most creative musicians on the very latest Spanish jazz scene, presents his new jazz fusion project, Alfa Centauri, showing off his talent as a composer, improviser and producer. The continuous quest for new sounds is one of the distinctive traits of this quartet, who play only their own tunes. Alfa Centauri’s influences go beyond jazz and include elements from funk, rock and hip hop. Their music is full of energy, with groove and driving rhythms as a common theme.
