Alto For Two is a quintet project led by two of Europe’s most innovative modern saxophonists: Kika Sprangers (Nijmegen, 1994) and Irene Reig (Barcelona, 1993). Three years ago now, they joined forces to create an entire repertoire of their own music. The result is an evocative fusion of two unique personalities; two composers who draw on the jazz tradition with a very particular, distinctive, modern sound. In this line-up, Sprangers and Reig also champion the role of women as jazz and modern music instrumentalists.
