Double bass player and composer Antoine Brochot, originally from Paris but now based in Lausanne, has created a musical link between his native region and his Swiss home.
After a debut album that won rave reviews in the Swiss and French press, 1st prize for composition at the “Trophées du Sunside” – Paris, and a tour of Switzerland, France and Belgium, the quartet is continuing to give concerts and is beginning to mature in preparation for a second album.
Antoine Brochot’s music is characterised by a variety of facets, from a bubbling rhythm to meditative moments that invite you to enter into communion with the quartet. Drawing on a wide range of influences, from Ravel to the new New York scene, Antoine Brochot’s universe invites you on a journey of many colours and freedom.
