As usual, the pianist Ignasi Terraza will perform at the Jamboree with the project ‘Around The Christmas Tree’, but with a significant novelty: in his usual trio – with Horacio Fumero (double bass) and Esteve Pi (drums) – he will incorporate the guitarist and Italian singer Joe Pisto and the singer from Malaga living in Brussels Pepa Niebla. With them this year he published ‘En la otra orilla del mundo’ (Swit Records). Terraza stands out for being one of the most recognized European jazz players on an international scale. As a performer and composer, he combines his extraordinary technique with exquisite sensitivity and a rock-hewn swing. In this concert he will perform a repertoire with well-known Christmas melodies, traditional songs and his own compositions passed through the sieve of jazz, blues and gospel. It will be a magical evening, with a great diversity of styles, rhythms and colors: from the fastest swing to the most heartfelt and expressive ballads, and without neglecting, of course, the festive accent that corresponds to these special dates.
