Bahía Sónica was born in 2016 in La Serena, Chile. Their first EP, “En Pulsos”, was released in 2018. Since 2021, they have been based in Barcelona, Spain. They are known for their hypnotic sound, which fuses house and downtempo rhythms with immersive basslines over psychedelic guitars. Their live performances are magnetic, taking the audience on an audiovisual journey that awakens nostalgic emotions, blended with a sense of euphoria that often leads to dance. Atalaya is the new project of Spec, co-founder of MATANZA, a pioneering band in Folktronica, and Chilean singer-songwriter Fernando Milagros. ATALAYA explores the Glocal (Global + Local) sound, blending acoustic and electronic instruments with vocals in a bold mix. Fusing South American rhythms with sounds from around the world, they create a fresh and deep synthesis. Their debut, “La Sed EP”, released under the SHIKA SHIKA label on August 23, 2024, features four original tracks, exploring different South American and global rhythms and melodies, transforming folk songs into a new danceable and profound sound.
