Presents Pension Almayer by Freshsound New Talent

The French pianist Baptiste Baily presents the CD Pensión Almayer (Fresh Sound New Talent) in the company of the excellent double bass player Ales Cesarini and the great percussionist David Gadea. Recorded in 2017 in Valencia, Pensión Almayer offers a subtle blend of French impressionism, world music and flamenco. The pianist and composer Baptiste Bailly (1992) discovered the piano as a teenager. He trained with Eric Moulin and Remi Platon before crossing the Pyrenees to become a following of Albert Bover in Barcelona. He began his artistic career working with artists from diverse genres like Carles Dénia, Federico Nathan, Pepe Fernández, Voro García, Javier Vercher, Viktorija Pilatovic and a long list of others. In 2016 he won the prize for the best composition at the Castelló competition. Pensión Almayer is his first solo album.
