Under the direction of double bass player Ivan Kovacevic, the Barcelona Big Blues Band has become one of the most powerful and solicited groups in the swing, jazz and R&B circuit. Their energetic and wild yet sophisticated sound has given them the status of a unique and irresistible group. It could be said that they follow the tradition of such big bands as T-Bone Walker’s or Johnny Otis’ but their spectrum has gone even further, incorporating in their shows such solo performers as Ray Gelato, Mike Sanchez , Drew Davies, Dani Nel and Lluís Coloma.
