The Andalusian guitarist Carlos Vico presents ‘Espíritu’, his first solo album, at the Jamboree. ‘Espíritu’ includes a diverse repertoire, in terms of the fusion of styles, with immersive rhythms and catchy melodies. Apart from composing and arranging with wit, Vico also gives space to the other soloists to excel and show their mark and personality. As a quintet, he offers an exclusive repertoire of his own songs. Born in Baza (Granada), in 1993, Carlos Vico was a student of Kike Angulo, in Granada, and of Joan Soler, Kontxi Lorente, Voro García, Toni Belenguer and other teachers in Valencia. He has also completed a master’s degree in Barcelona, at ESMUC. Among other influences, he names Pat Metheny, Jonathan Kreisberg, Chick Corea, Joe Henderson and Wayne Shorter.

Alba Armengou, trumpeter and singer, and Vicente López, guitarist, are friends and classmates at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). Despite being still very young, they already have a considerable background and curriculum, which includes collaborations with Joan Chamorro, Perico Sambeat, Jesús Santandreu and other celebrities. In 2020, they formed a duo in which they exhibit their versatility as performers and composers. Not surprisingly, the repertoire of each session constitutes a musical journey through the most diverse times and places: from jazz from the 1950s to bolero, passing through Brazilian rhythms from different schools.

Clio & The Benders is a hip-hop-soul band formed by vocalist Clio Almansa, guitarist Joaquín Dolyenko and keyboardist Paquito de Laiguana. At specific moments, they incorporate a beatmaker or a drummer-percussionist. Clio & The Benders stands out for the purity of its lyrics, the depth of the soul and the beats of hip-hop, a formula to which they add funk and jazz harmonies and the synthesized sounds of electronic music. With all that, they generate a magnificent musical cocktail and a live show that leaves no one indifferent. After consolidating the project, in 2021, Clio & The Benders are currently finalizing the details of their first studio EP, scheduled for this same year.
