Renowned Mexican bassist Benjamín García makes his debut at Jamboree for the first time. With a remarkable career in the Mexican scene, where he has performed at the country’s main festivals, García has been a student of Orlando Le Fleming and Matt Brewer and has played, among others, with Magos Herrera, Michael Mayo, Luis Natch, Vinicius Gomes, Erik Deutch, and Albert Vila, as well as being part of the Liceu Jazz Group. As a solo artist, he has released albums such as ‘Paisaje Gris’, with Jenny Beaujean, and ‘Cíclico’ (2018). For his debut at the cellar of Plaça Reial, he will be accompanied by three prominent musicians from the Barcelona scene: Santi de la Rubia, Víctor Carrascosa, and Gonzalo del Val.
