Pianist, organist, singer, composer, lyricist, former travelling companion of Steve Miller, collaborator with figures like Eric Clapton, Charlie Watts and the Rolling Stones, and a living legend of the popular music of our times. His name: Ben Sidran; a musician who has carved out a career in jazz, blues and rock, both as a session musician or producer of records by Van Morrison, Georgie Fame and Ricky Lee Jones, among others. He has also had a brilliant solo career, with dozens of albums to leave his mark his mark on several generations of music fans. Magazines like Audiophile have defined him as ta e writer of “compositions anchored in swing with ways that combine the soul of Horace Silver with the sensitivity of Mose Allison”, or a style half way between “the swing of jazz, hipster originality and classic r ‘n’ b” (Jazz Times).
