This group brings together some of the most outstanding emerging figures of Balearic Island jazz. Despite their youth, they have been playing together for nearly a decade. We might say they have learned to share, play and enjoy music together. In recent years, they have performed a great deal in Barcelona and Mallorca, playing a large number of different repertoires until they found their own sound. In October 2021, they released their first, eponymous, album, with self-penned tunes. The album includes pieces by different members of the band. Each of the members of Big Babo explores their personality until it merges with those of the others. The aim is to blaze a musical trail with an attractive approach: an example of the very best of the newcomers on our jazz scene.
