CARLOS SARDUY QUARTET - Jamboree Jazz

Praised for the sound of his trumpet, for being a versatile performer and for his amazingly good taste, the Cuban Carlos Sarduy has recorded 50 albums and worked with master musicians of the calibre of Chucho and Bebo Valdés, Steve Coleman, David Murray, Esperanza Spalding, Concha Buika, Ainhoa Arteta, Mariza and Ojos de Brujo. As well as being an excellent trumpeter and percussionist, Sarduy is also a master of the language of the piano and of composition. A multi-instrumentalist, in his concerts he whisks the audience away on a vibrant musical journey with the kind of sensitive, melodic discourse his background would lead you to expect. Sarduy’s personal style is the result of his deep knowledge of Afro-Cuban music and his skill in mixing it with the most innovative jazz.
