Born in Oklahoma in 1985, Champian Fulton is one of the most acclaimed singers and pianists in today’s jazz scene. Because of her charisma and strength on stage, she has earned the right to symbolize the preservation of the most authentic style of jazz. It’s no surprise that she has mastered the great American songbook like very few. With her personal style she has captivated audiences in the best clubs in New York and the rest of the world. She has also received the prestigious “Rising Star” award from Downbeat Magazine in two occasions (2013 and 2014), voted on by critics. In her successful career she has shared the stage with such masters as Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess and Clark Terry, besides publishing a distinguished discography as a lead singer. She has already acted several times at the Jamboree. This time she will be performing with a trio, with a superb rhythmic base to boost.
