CHAMPIAN FULTON - Jamboree Jazz
CHAMPIAN FULTON

Champian Fulton vocals and piano, Toni Solà tenor sax, Ignasi González double bass, Roger Gutiérrez drums.

Born in Oklahoma (USA) in 1985, Champian Fulton is a jazz pianist and vocalist with true pedigree. With her charisma and the power of her live performances, Fulton has become a symbol of the preservation of jazz at its most authentic. That’s not surprising, as few others enjoy her mastery of the repertoire of the great American songbook. With her personal style, she has captivated the audience at the top New York clubs and has twice won the prestigious critics’ prize from Downbeat magazine (“Rising Star” 2013 and 2014). In her prolific career, she has performed with masters including Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess and Clark Terry. She also has an acclaimed discography as a group leader, with albums like Champian with David Berger & The Sultans of Swing (2007), recorded after playing at Birdland for two years, Champian Sings and Swings (2013), “one of the top ten albums of the year” (NY Observer) and, more recently, I’ll See You in My Dreams and Live from Lockdown. At the Jamboree, he will play with a quartet line-up in the company of three top Spanish musicians.
