Born in Valencia in 1978, into a family of musicians, Albert Sanz stood out as a teenager, when he began working with figures like Peter King, Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Perico Sambeat. He trained at the famous Berklee College of Music and lived in New York between 2002 and 2004. The winner of several awards, Sanz has recorded six albums as a leader, with fellow musicians of the calibre of Larry Grenadier, Jeff Ballard, Chris Cheek and the legendary drummer Al Foster. A leading jazz pianist for several generations of musicians, Albert Sanz returns to the Jamboree as part of a trio, one of the most successful formations of his career. He does so in the company of two jazz greats, Masa Kamaguchi and Stephen Keogh, musicians he has worked with several times.
