Aged just 27, Will Barry is one of the highest profile pianists or percussionists on the London scene. It’s hardly surprising. He works with artists from all over the world, such as the bassist of the Scandinavia group Phroneis, Jasper Hølby, with whom he has toured all over Europe, with jazz legends of the calibre or Perico Sambeat and Madison McFerrin, and the Latin musicians Julio Montalvo, Yoel Pérez, Isaac Delgado Jr. Barry has performed at festivals such as Umbria, the North Sea Festival, Love Supreme and Green Hours. He also received the Musician of the Year Award in 2017 from the Musicians Company in the UK, and has received praise from the likes of Chucho Valdés, who described his performance as “sensitive and fluid” with a “beautiful sound”.
