Recorded at Rosazul Studio (Barcelona), in April 2022, the music of ‘Corpos’ explores collective construction in trio formation. Lai, Reviriego and Roca experiment with various sounds, compositional possibilities and improvisation. His music is energetic but also contemplative, random, noisy at times, whispering from time to time, and with melodic outlines. They are pieces like sound bodies, which are articulated from climatic diversity. Clara Lai, one of the big names on the national free scene, has published her first trio work with the Portuguese label Phonogram Unit, and has presented it at events such as the Garriga Jazz Festival and the Robalo Antena 2 Festival, in Lisbon. The album has also received very laudatory reviews in reference media for contemporary jazz and improvised music.
