A few weeks before leaving for New York, this musician from Malaga who lives in Barcelona comes to the Jamboree to present the repertoire from his first album, ‘Olimpo’ (self-released, 2021), recorded with Enrique Oliver, Daniel Torres, Fernando Brox, Alejandro Escalera, Dimitri Skidanov and Rajiv Jayaweera. ‘Olimpo’ is the name of the gym where he trained in Malaga and also the space reserved for the gods in Greek mythology. It is a great dedication to the best musicians he was able to record with in the Andalusian city. Antonio Grande is one of the most important performers demonstrating the extraordinary standards shown by newcomers to our jazz scene. Educated at the famous school Alhaurín de la Torre, where he was a student of José Carra and Ernesto Aurignac, he came to Barcelona in 2013 and did the Higher Degree in Jazz Piano at the Liceu Conservatory. In the Catalan capital, he was a follower of Albert Bover, Marco Mezquida, Roger Mas and Iñaki Sandoval.
