Due to an aphonia, Mariola Membrives will not be able to sing with Albert Bover as planned. And to big problems, big solutions. We have proposed to one of the musicians we admire the most, to keep the date, changing the repertoire and listening to solo piano. A format ‘without net’ that offers the artist a lot of freedom, but at the same time confronts him with the risk of falling into some traps. Like showing what a good pianist he is, playing a lot of notes, loud and fast, showing all his resources deployed at the moment. On the contrary, Bover will prefer to go deeper into the instrument and look for all the nuances, achieving sonorities in order to listen more, to make more music, the one that is behind, beyond the notes. As Horowitz said, to make the audience feel it, sharing beauty, or even some magical meaning hidden in the order established in the sounds. Albert Bover will perform this time a repertoire with standards, Latin music, some original theme and even some classical music inspiration to make us fly high. And we have asked him to explain it to us in detail so that we can savor the intensity of his very particular relationship with music and creation in general.
