After her acclaimed debut at the 50th anniversary celebrations for the Nits amb Jazz at Cardedeu, Paula Barranco, with her Big Band, presents a tribute to Billie Holiday. The music selected reviews the most important tunes from Lady Day’s career, arranged by Paula Barranco herself and conducted by the well-known big-band enthusiast Sergi Vergés. In this concert at the Jamboree, the band made up of young talent from the Catalan scene will also present specially written exclusive arrangements.
Since September 2021, every Tuesday, the Jamboree room has been programming music students with a higher degree at the Liceu Conservatory, the ESMUC or el Taller de músics. In this way, Jamboree connects with emerging musicians on the city scene, contributing to their artistic and professional development.
