Born in the East Zone of São Paulo, Cohab II, Yago Oproprio carries with him the DNA of peripheral musical influences. Still a child, he moved with his mother to Caracas, Venezuela. There, he learned Spanish and came into contact with the music of Calle 13, Orishas and Don Omar. From there come the influences of the Latin sonority, which give rhythm and singularity to his creations.
Back in Brazil, Artur Alvim settled in Cohab 1. In this territory, he traced a strong path with funk and national rap, with artists such as Sabotage, Duda Marapé, Sombra and Racionais, at the same time as he absorbed numbers such as Chico Buarque, Moreira da Silva, Pedro Luís and la Parede, among many others
This mix between the street and peripheral art is where the urban poetics that is not limited to a single world emerges. Yago follows the paths of dialogue with people and cities, jumps from the periphery to the world, without abandoning his roots.
