Recipient of, among other accolades, the first prize in the piano-solo contest at the Montreux Festival (one of the most prestigious in the world), Austrian David Helbock is an authentic master of the 88 keys, a musician that has forged a significant list of albums for such a young age.  With lyricism and good taste as his flagships, Helbock, who currently works exclusively for the prestigious ACT record label, has reinterpreted the music of such diverse artists as Hermeto Pascoal, Dave Brubeck, Prince and Joe Zawinul, among others. He will be presenting his newest album titled “Playing John Williams” (ACT, 2019) in the Jamboree, a work that lead him to adapt the most relevant works of the famed author of such recognizable soundtracks as “Star Wars”, “Indiana Jones” and “Schindler’s list”.
