The drummer and composer Denis Suárez presents his first solo album, El libro negro. Planned as a conceptual journey, El libro negro recreates some of the most emblematic passages from the Bible, from the creation of the world to the Apocalypse, including biblical episodes such as the battle between David and Goliath, the fall of Jerusalem and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Accompanied by the pianist Jofre Fité, the guitarist Joel Ríos and the bass player Alan Pribizchuk, Suárez’s debut is an original contemporary jazz work with elements of progressive rock and Celtic and Middle Eastern music.
