The Barcelona Domino Swing Quartet began in 2014, inspired by the manouche or gipsy jazz school of the 1930s. In 2018, Domino Swing Quartet expanded its base – guitars, double bass and violin – to become a septet, incorporating a horn section: trumpet, sax and trombone. The result was a genuine big band with indestructible rhythm and a combination of timbres that plays with the essence of manouche and other more contemporary influences. The Domino Swing Septet is one of the most outstanding and original manouche groups in Catalonia, offering their own unique version of what is known as European swing.
