This group began in 2016 in the classrooms of the Liceu Conservatory, based on a blend of Jamaican music and jazz. Stormin’ (La Panchita, 2018) was Drop Collective’s first album with the collaboration of Dr Ring Ring, Gorka Benitez and Charlart58. Live, Drop Collective offer a vibrant, party-style performance, including pieces from their first album and clever adaptations of classics from different genres. In their short but dizzy career, Drop Collective have already performed at events like Nowa Reggae, the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, La Mercè, Nits de Jazz at La Pedrera and the Estival in Igualada. They have appeared on the same bill as Toots & the Maytals, The Skatalites and the Melodians. A celebration for no particular reason, with a frenetic rhythm and a warm sound in the best Jamaican tradition, Drop Collective will captivate everyone who comes down the stairs of the Jamboree to see them.
