As part of the Jamboree’s commitment to the finest talent from Barcelona’s music schools, this evening we welcome Eddie Mejía, from the Liceu Conservatory. Last year, Mejía won the Extraordinary Prize for Jazz and Modern Music Performance at the Liceu. He was also chosen to take part in the Spanish Youth Jazz Musician Competition (2020) and, more recently, to appear at the Ateneu Barcelonès. Guitarist Mejía will make his debut at the Jamboree in trio format alongside two other talented youngsters, with a repertoire of pieces by Thelonious Monk and other jazz greats.
